Q: Is GoliathJobs free for all job seekers including current students, recent graduates & alumni?

A: Yes, completely free.

Q: Do I have to be a current student to use GoliathJobs.com?

A: No. You can be a student or alumnus from any undergraduate, graduate, technical, trade or high school in the US & Canada. You can also be a member of an association.

Q: Do I have to complete myProfile?

A: After you register, we recommend that you go back to the myProfile and complete the rest of the information.

Q: Can I tell my friends about GoliathJobs?

A: Yes, please do. We encourage all users to "tell a friend." There is a "tell a friend" link on the top right of every page.

Q: Is myProfile public or private?

A: Private. It is only available to the employers that you apply to and the career services office at your college or association (if they subscribe to our free Management Center). Please note that not all information on your myProfile is visible to them.

Q: Can I contact other Job Seekers through myMessages?

A: No. myMessages is an internal spam-free email system. You can only communicate with employers, career admin at your school and GoliathJobs. This is to protect your privacy and ensure all our users of a spam-free environment.

Q: How come certain jobs that result from a search navigate me away from GoliathJobs and into another job board?

A: Currently, we have over 6 million jobs available on our site. Some of those jobs come from employers that post directly with us. Others come from a "feed." Most job boards that exist (monster, career builder, etc) want exposure to our users. As a result, we provide them an incoming feed so we can provide you with even more jobs! Plus our users do not need to worry about missing out on anything when they switch to us!

Q: How can I get GoliathJobs to offer their services at my school or association?

A: Two ways, 1. You can contact your career development staff at and refer them to us. 2. You can contact us (via the Contact Us link at the bottom of every page) and give us the school or association name. If you know the name of an administrator in your career services dept that would be helpful.

Q: My friend is an intern for GoliathJobs at a different school. How can I apply for an internship position with GoliathJobs at my school?

A: You can email us via the Contact Us link found at the bottom of every page. Send us a message with your name and school name. Please mention that you are applying for a campus internship. We frequently post our internships on the site as well. Please search via "GoliathJobs Internships."

Q: Can my college or association send recommendations to employers through GoliathJobs.com?

A: Yes. If they know the Job ID #, they can contact the employer and send them a recommendation through myMessages.

Q: As a job seeker, what is the advantage of being verified?

A: This gives you an edge over other applicants when applying for a job, internship or career. Employers like to see that the school or association recognizes you as a student, alumnus or member.

Q: Who verifies me?

A: You are verified by an administrator at your school or association via the free verification system we provided them.

Q: Who do I contact if I am not verified?

A: You would contact the career services office at your school or association to let them know. If they have not signed up yet, they can sign up online at http://www.goliathjobs.com/college. If they have signed up, then they just need to login, go to the myStudents page and select "unverified students." From there they can verify your record. Feel free to contact us via the link below if you would like us to contact the school on your behalf.

Q: What is the advantage of applying to a verified employer?

A: Peace of mind that you are applying for a job, internship or career offered by a legitimate employer. Our goal is to protect job seekers from spam, solicitations and fraud.

Q: I noticed that employers that come through the feed mentioned above are not verified.

A: That is correct. Only employers that post directly on our site are verified.

Q: I was provided a job ID# from an employer or someone I know. How do I find that job?

A: Simply input the job ID# in the job search box. (You can search by keyword or job #).

Q: Can I create multiple resumes?

A: Yes. Just click "create new resume" in the myResumes section. You can give each resume a unique name such as "marketing resume," or "finance resume." You can create an unlimited number of resumes. When you apply for a job, just click the resume you want from the drop down list that appears.

Q: When I create a resume, can I save my work and come back later and edit?

A: Yes. You can save, edit, finish later, etc.

Q: Can I upload a resume?

A: Yes. In the myResumes section you will see the upload utility. You can upload an unlimited number of resumes. When you apply for a job, just click the resume you want from the drop-down list that appears.

Q: How do I create a cover letter to send with my resume?

A: When you apply for a job, it will open a blank myMessage. You simply complete that message in the same format as a cover letter. When you send your resume, the message will go with it.
